Toronto Blue Jays pitcher R.A Dickey is most known for being the only active player in the majors who uses a knuckleball to pitch. What some of his fans might not know is that he is very active when it comes to charity. He first became involved in the charity Honoring the Father Ministries which provides food and sports equipment to low-income communities in places like Cuba, Mexico and Ecuador.
Dickey didn’t stop there. His next mission was climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro to raise awareness and money to rescue and take care of human trafficking victims in India on behalf of Bombay Teen Challenge organization. He has traveled to India with his family since them continuing to raise awareness and money for Bombay Teen Challenge.
You can help R.A Dickey continue his charity work by donating money for your chance to have him teach you how to pitch a knuckleball as well as tickets to one of his games. It’s a little pricy at 7,500.
